![]() Obscure II and the prequel are pretty much similar to Eternal Darkness in terms of gameplay mechanics. Some of them will die, and some will survive to discover the scary truth that awaits them in the everlasting night. They’ll unite their strength to survive the night together. A group of young teenagers are trapped and menaced in their own school by an unknown evil. The story is a bit generic compared to nowadays standards, but it was something for its time. Unfortunately, the latter has changed into Mighty Rocket Studio, and any hope for a proper third game from the series remains obscure. Frankly, this game is pretty impressive since it’s Hydravision Entertainment’s first franchise and their first game as a whole. School has always been a boring place, but who would have thought that it would turn from a place in which people sought knowledge to survive the night? because in this game that’s what you are going to do, survive. If you are looking to have a scary night alone or with a friend, you should definitely pick this one whenever you like to. The enemies you’ll encounter add to the overall challenge, and sadly, they’re not joking around. The main enemies are Russian mercenaries and zombie-like creatures known as ” Exos” which are infected by a parasitic organism known as an ” Exocel”. The gameplay mechanics might frustrate some players in the beginning due to how clunky it can get at times, but it only takes a couple of hours to get used to. Just like every survival horror game out there, the aforementioned puts an emphasis on terror and evil that lurks in the shadows. Hansen’s job will be to make sure that the parasites don’t reach land and cause any more havoc. The story follows Tom Hansen, a member of the United States Coast Guard, who is entrusted with saving a Russian Whaler in the Bering Strait only to discover that a mysterious parasite has turned the crew into zombie-like creatures. In case you didn’t know, this was Ubisoft’s first attempt to indulge in the horror realm, and DarkWorks second game after Alone in The Dark: The New Nightmare which was published on the original PlayStation back in 2001. Only you, and a gun on a ship filled with dreadful enemies waiting to eat you for dinner. This is pretty much Resident Evil but with no zombies. Don’t forget to put a blanket in case you want to hide in fear. If you enjoy survival horror games and you are ready for a challenge, make sure to pick this one whenever you’re ready. One thing to note is that the game offers challenges over the never-ending shooting, so make sure not to waste your ammo against regular enemies. ![]() This latter will aid the player to save up ammo that will pretty much be needed against fearsome bosses. An interesting thing about the game is the stealth mechanic. Instead of fighting zombies like in the previous Resident Evil games, Sabastian will battle disfigured nightmare-like enemies including bosses as well. The gameplay is pretty much identical to Resident Evil in pretty much every way with few unique changes. Sebastian will have to experience a journey to hell before solving the mystery that sucked him into that nightmare. The Evil Within’s story puts you in the shoes of Sebastian Castellanos, a detective who was entrusted with investigating an abnormal incident only to get pulled into a distorted world full of nightmarish places and terrifying creatures. However, many agree that it carries certain elements that make it pretty identical to the aforementioned. The Evil Within is a survival horror that is often looked at as a combination of Silent Hill with Resident Evil.
